Mission.
My name is Laurie and I have the great pleasure and honor to meet you and your family. I started my child care when my husband I where married in 1986. I have some college credits with Everett Community College in Early Childhood Education. I take on going education training for my self, with Volunteers of America, on line training and with Department of Early Learning.
My program has a strong commitment to diversity and I am continually working toward providing a more culturally enriched environment for the children. I believe that caring for children is a responsibility to be taken seriously. Ian committed to provide a warm, educations environment to help with the children's growth and development.
Communication between parents and my self is very important. This partnership assures the children to develop to his or her potential. I find when parents and myself talk daily, everyone's day goes smoothly. If your child is having a bad morning let me know so I know what to look out for. If your child has a bad day here I will let you know so we can work together in working out behaviors if needed.
It is my goal to provide daily opportunities for each child to develop new skills and strengths in all social, emotional, physical, language, cognitive, and fine motor skills. I work with each child to expand their horizons through a variety of easily accessible tools and materials. I offer a weekly lesson plan of activities that are designed to meet the developmental, cultural, and individual needs of children.
